Description of Opportunity:
The Victoria Festival of Motion Image is a defiantly Victorian festival to counteract the metro-centric film festivals that often tour country Victoria. A truly Victorian event we will focus on bringing the industry to the country as well as showcasing the skills and talents of the artists and producers in regional Victoria. A filmmaker from Shepparton can screen their film alongside other filmmakers with screening credits from Sundance and the Oscars. A stuntman from regional Victoria who has worked internationally alongside Jackie Chan will run a workshop on getting into the industry and how some of the stunts are done. The regional filmmaking community can get together and network with industry professionals to promote media debate and policy that affects them.
