Description of Opportunity:
An exhibition of Australian Contemporary Painting that I am organising in Berlin, Germany 2007. Titled "MELB 5" is an exhibition of 5 Melbourne artists at "Oder24" Gallery in Berlin, Germany The exhibition involves sending 5 Melbourne artists Jenny Davis ,Kate Murdoch,Milanda Matthews,Andrew May and Tori Swedosh" to Berlin, between the dates June 5th -19th 2007 to showcase Australian Contemporary painting in the East Berlin Gallery "Oder24" situated at Krossener strasse 34,Friedrichstain. With the main objective of the exhibition being the promotion of Melbourne as the Arts Capital of the Southern Continent whilst exposing Australian Contemporay art to an international audience. I am seeking sponsorship in any form to finance and guarantee the projects success. Be it monetary, non monetary,discounted airfares or tickets, accomadation in Berlin, art materials,vouchers etc. By offering a unique and rare chance for Europeans to view Australian Art in the flesh without a geographical boundary, the exhibition would create an exciting opportunity to exspose your companies interest and support for Australian art. Where by all forms of sponsorship will be acknowledged in all printed and promotional material, media events and interviews in Australia and internationally connected to the exhibition and its artists. If the full amount of $10,000 is donated by one sponsor, in addition to the above they will recieve 1 painting from each artist.These works would be more than the retail value of your sponsorship contribution as some of the artists have had extensive International success as well as their artworks are in private and public collections in Australia, USA, UK and Europe. These works would constitute a unique collection, given the profile of myself as a professional artist and of Oder24 Gallery in Berlin, Germany. The potential of such a collection from an advertising viewpoint would be significant, not to mention the future appreciation
